Finding a New Use for Sugar Shakers
These retro sugar shakers were originally used in my grandfather’s restaurant, the Savoy Café and Grill. Today, I use them for storage.
Originally used on every table at the Savoy, I find these large shakers are great for holding various items in the kitchen. I used mine for storing cocktail sticks, fancy toothpicks and cupcake wrappers. Today, they reside on a shelf in my dining room. I have a smaller version that I do keep sugar in.
One of the things I love the most is using my vintage items. They add a touch of vintagey by being visible on a ledge, and they are also functional.
